Today we went to the St Philips College and we performed at their Assembly. We did some songs and then we sang some songs with them. There was over 800 people there. One of the people said a really funny joke: C, E flat and G walked into a bar but the bar didn't accept minors (it was funny because C, E flat and G is a minor chord).
After that we had a workshop with Primary School kids from Braitling Primary and St Philips College. We sangs lots of rounds together and the kids were really into it and loved it. We also learned about breathing and solfa. The kids really loved it when we acknowledged them and asked them questions about their family and stuff.
We had toasties for morning tea and then went through three songs that we were going to sing with them at the concert.
Later on we had wraps for lunch and then we had an hour in the pool. Lots of people went down the slide a lot and then we had a quiet time relaxing for an hour and then a couple of hours more free time.
Then we had dinner, entree and main, chicken fingers for entree, and a casserole with potatoes. Then we departed for St Philips College again. We didn't have much time for the sound check and getting changed but we managed to do it in time. We then performed 11 songs and then the songs with the other schools. The audience really enjoyed it and were really engaged. Then we got to have a massive supper feast (some people over indulged). There was sausage rolls, caramel slices, brownies, cookies, fruit and actual Melbourne water. Then we went back to camp and went straight to sleep.
What a fabulous post. Great update and I really like the joke. I will tell people at work tomorrow. Keep enjoying boys. An outstanding experience for you - memory making stuff. Scotty Charles - Oscar's Dad
